how Halo Lasers work

With sun damage and age come dark spots, uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines, and more. Address these with Halo Laser technology!

In the past, treating these conditions would require significant downtime. Thanks to the Halo, you don’t have to choose between amazing results and recovery anymore!

The 2 wavelengths in the Halo laser work in the same treatment zone to significantly improve skin tone and texture. The dual wavelengths allow us to customize treatments for you.

Expect a few days of swelling and inflammation following the treatment, followed by peeling, that will leave your skin fresh and regenerated.

what it is

Halo is a hybrid fractional laser that delivers two wavelengths of light to the same areas of the skin. This combination of wavelengths of light give this laser the ability to cause different effects in the same skin. Because it is a fractional laser, it is only treating fractional parts of the skin, leaving the surrounding skin intact to accelerate the healing and regeneration of the skin.

how it works

Halo provides a complete skin rejuvenation by combining an ablative wavelength of light to remove aging and damaged skin and a non-ablative wavelength to stimulate regeneration of the skin. Because it combines these effects and applies the two wavelengths of light to a fractional area, the skin heals more quickly after the procedure and you get improvement of all the conditions caused by normal aging and sun damage.

what to expect

Halo will provide a significant improvement in uneven pigmenation, redness, fine lines, pores, wrinkles. It is a very effective treatment for melasma, a skin condition characterized by patchy areas of darker pigmentation. The healing after the procedure is almost always complete within 5-7 days, and the skin condition will continue to improve for months to come.

frequently asked questions

How many treatments will I need?

The beauty of the Halo laser is that treatments are entirely customizable to you. During your initial consultation, we will discuss your skin concerns, goals, and how much time you have to recover in order to determine the best treatment plan for you. If you have time to recover, we may recommend one or two more aggressive treatments whereas if you don't have time, or you have another sensitivity, we may achieve your goals over a longer period of time with milder treatments.

What can I expect during the procedure?

About 30-60 minutes before your treatment, we will prepare your skin with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort you may feel during the procedure. We also measure the area we are treating to ensure we are treating your skin evenly. During the treatment, we roll the Halo handpiece over each section of the measured area.

What does the Halo laser feel like?

Thanks to the topical anesthetic and other measures we take to cool your skin here at AZURI, most patients report only feeling heat with occasional prickling in the treated area.

What happens after the Halo laser treatment?

There are expected and common side effects associated with this procedure. The intensity and recovery time from these side effects will depend on how quickly your body's healing process works along with the aggressiveness of the treatment performed. Redness and swelling typically occur immediately following the treatment and lasts a few days following the laser treatment. Then, your skin may start to look bronzed with dark spots and feel itchy. Skin will peel and flake, with all effects typically subsiding after 5-7 days - resulting in gorgeous, glowing skin!

Can Halo be combined with other treatments?

Definitely. We find that in combination with other treatments offered at AZURI, Halo's results are only more beautiful. Though you should wait until you're properly healed before combining treatments with Halo, we suggest skin tightening treatments like SkinTyte or Venus Legacy. Or, you can help yourself look even younger following your Halo treatments with Botox and filler injections!
